Some dozen years back, I had purchased well over a 2 thousand error coins (in multiple transactions) from a seller located in India. What I found unique with this seller was that all his packages were sent in a tightly sewn material to bypass customs...
Getting back on topic, I was offered sets of fancy and solid serial number Ten Rupee Notes. Not knowing anything about their currency, I decided to purchase 4 lots and now don't remember what the prices were that I paid him, but do know it couldn't have been that much as he made quite a bit of money off my error coin purchases...
ebay prices for the Gandhi Notes are all over the place, and most of the sellers are selling them by the piece at $35.00+ each on serial numbers #111111 - #777777 and $45.00+ each for #888888 & #999999 (without the option of purchasing the rarer 7 digit #1000000).
This lot is the only pre-Gandhi lot and all 10 notes have the common Staple Holes, and not listed on
ebay...
I'm trying to receive a conservative (not to high & not to low) value of this, and other world currency lots posted here so my grandchildren will know the guesstimated 2012/13 value...
This set had the rare 7 digit 1000000, after #999999.
