further down in the listing it states that shipping/handling and insurance will be $9.95. I would sure clarify before bidding, maybe he just made a typo in entry...can the ebay sofware do that if you enter an incorrect weight in the precalculated shipping? Worth an email to the seller to advise him of what is showing in the listing and see if he changes it.

I feel $9.95 is a lot for insurance too.

Heh, the body of the auction states that shipping is $9.95

I could care less about the stupid box from 1966, what is that supposed to prove

Those steelies just look way too nice as a group and the rims are a bit shiney- I would bet that they have been replated. For those that are not aware, only the sheets of metal used to make the steelies were plated, not the blanks themselves. So an original steel cent will only have the zinc plating on the obverse and reverse but not the rim- that is why so many begin to rust.

I would estimate $4 shipping, $2 insurance, 50 cents for delivery confirmation, round figures it should total to about $6.50 unless the final value drives the insurance way up. I think it is about $1.35 per $50 coverage.

This is exactly what is a turn off on ebay.
