Can anyone help me out in grading my first Flying Eagle cent? It has some doubling on the "857", the edge of the tail feathers and the edge of the right feathers. Hard to see, but "AMERICA" is doubled, too, in these pictures kinda visible on both A's.

If there are known varieties, can anyone ID it as such? It's all new to me!

Nice FEC. Not sure if it is a variety but, looking at the top of the obverse above ES and below 857 was this a jewelry piece?

I think this is strike doubling--it's common on cupro-nickel FE cents.

The placement of the rim damage is a little suspicious, but I'm thinking it's not a former jewelry piece. I'll have to look at it closer.

I'd say either VF30 or VF35. Not sure if it would get a details grade due to the problems with the rims. But overall a nice Flying Eagle.

I think VF30. Looks like someone gave the 18 in the date a whack but it's a very nice coin.
Certainly better than the one residing in my book
