karloning Valued Member Australia 401 Posts	Posted 12/12/2012 01:27 am Has anyone seen the new $2 coins?. I got 6 beautiful shiny ones last week. The first time the design has changed from the Aboriginal Elder. I believe there may be two versions - one of them coloured. Anyone have details? Report this Post to the Staff

flippy Pillar of the Community Australia 1874 Posts	Posted 12/12/2012 01:43 am hi karloning I have found 2 of the new non coloured poppy designs. there are 3 types: The non coloured ones that were released into circulation approximate mintage of 5,000,000 which you have. the coloured type which were released at the RSL around Australia. Approximately 500,000 minted. Image from http://www.australian-threepence.com The coloured mint with a C mint mark released from the mint in canberra.I don't know how many were minted. Not my image.
