I came across this yesterday....not sure if I will be taking advantage of it. I should put this as a poll.... however...would anyone consider it?

What I don't like about the process listed on their website is that it breaks the chain of provenance.

>>>
- Remove the coins from the Mint packaging and submit them raw in the capsules.
- A copy of the purchase receipt from the Royal Canadian Mint must accompany the submission in order for NGC to verify the pedigree.
<<<

They basically tell you to remove the coins from the package that links them to the Bank of Canada hoard and then use only the receipt as proof of provenance. What is there to prevent someone from keeping the original coin and submitting a non-hoard coin to NGC ?

Does having this on the label increase or decrease the value of the coin ? Obviously , they must have had a major dealer submit tons already to offer this service . I can see the home shopping network peddling these now for three times what they are worth .

if people on ebay are already foolish enough to pay 1000.00 for hand select coins why bother, the only coins worth grading are the 20 sets that have been cherrypicked by one or two select dealers.

Makes you think a little longer about it....I won't be submitting, I personally don't like the idea of removing it.
