I just subscribed for a month of Numismaster, the online coin reference database by Krause publishing.

Pros: The best reference I've seen. Easy to use. You can look up coins by country, denomination, catalog #, composition and year (or any combination of these). Pictures are clearer than in the catalog. No more flipping through fragile pages!! The site also provides a free database for cataloging you collection (I think the database is free regardless of subscription).

Cons: Costs are basically $60 per year per catalog (18th century, 19th century ect) or $10 per month. For this reason I doubt I'll let the subscription renew unless they cut prices soon.

Has anyone else tried this site out?

I think 60$ is very expensive specially when you can get the standarg world coin catalog (18th century, 19th cent)together for about 70$ and may be less and still you can keep them for the coming years, but this subscribtion is for one year only.

most of collectors use the catalog for identification more for value since the market is the real determinante of any coin value according to suplly and demand.
