I have a loonie sized coin with the maple twig design on one side and the new mint mark on the other. It is dated 2006 but I have no info on it? Any ideas?

The twig design is the same as the penny, it is silver in colour, the same size as a loonie. The new mint mark on the other side. It is my friends and I have no pic of it.
