The NNC grade and slab mean nothing. They are a basement slabber using the same grading guide as asyn.
There's about $11 of silver in that coin.Seems that on ebay, unless they are in the original clamshell,or in an ICCS or PCGS holder, they sell for little more than bullion value.Would make a nice gift but I would crack it out of the little plastic garbage can first.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I bought this ungraded coin for $7.50 about 5 years ago. Buy the coin, not the holder.

I bought the coin for a buddy who was born in 1971...
I'll give it to him & keep it in the "little plastic garbage can"...
He can take it out if he want's to....
Thanks for the info. :)

Ha! That's the best description of a basement slab I've seen yet!

How could a coin that awful looking be graded so high as SP-69? Do different companies use different grading criteria. Coinsplus has a much better looking coin and it is ungraded.

Its probably not a recongnized grading company, you can buy slabs like that from the store.

I found something about NNC on this coin collecting forum. They have a thread devoted to this company. It seems they have very bad reputation. Grading 6 levels above what it should be.

Remember, grading is not absolute... you are only paying for an opinion of grade...

Some opinions are held in higher regard than others...

All your feedback on this topic has been extremely invaluable!!

I wondered how certain slabbed coins on ebay were going for such low prices, considering they are supposedly rated MS65.
