What is there to know about Walkers with no initials?
What years are affected? Business and/or proof strikes? How many are there? What price premiums do they command? Are they faked by machining off the initials?

Hi Texas
I cannot answer your questions about value and population or for that matter all the dates which are affected,, I do know that 1936-P is one of the years because I have one ,, they are the result of an abraded die since the initials are incused in the coin that is raised on the die, and is affected by polishing much quicker than the relief designes.

Thanks for the comments. I let a circulated 29-S get away because I didn't feel I had enough information to bid up for it (still don't, as a matter of fact).
Jim, I'd appreciate any info you can provide once you get back to your references.

Breen's Encyclopedia lists the 1918-D, 1929-S, 1940, 1941 (proofs only), 1942-S, 1943-S, 1944, 1945, & the 1947-D.

Thanks for the info, guys.
So they're rare, but aren't widely collected (low demand), correct?
Do you have any idea of what kind of price premium they command in the marketplace?
Thanks again.
