I find 1946 to be a tougher date to find in MS. I recently purchased this raw example. Any grades or opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Yeah.. MS-64 looks right, nice one.

Did you look close to see if it's a 6/6?

I did check it closely for 6/6 or a arrowhead but it is niether. I wish it was a 6/6. Hard to find any 1946 5 cent's in higher grades than MS60. I was quite happy to find this one.

I agree.

Looks like a solid ms64.

If it didn't grade as a 64, I would hedge my bets on the 63 side rather than a 65, but I wouldn't worry as I think it's basically a lock 64.

Too many visible bag marks on the obverse. I'm guessing there's more I can't see. Can't go 64, so let's go 63.

SHAFTA9a....When I purchased the nickel I bought a total of 11 coins at the same time from a fellow collector/coin dealer for a negotiated price for the bunch. Of the 11 coins 5 were 1946 MS nickels. I would think it would have been around 30-40 dollars each would be my quess. I think the best one was the one I posted but will post another to get your opinions.

@wireman, It doesn't seem as nice as the first one you posted but, it may be the way the photo was taken.

Three of the 5 are full lustre like the first post. Two of them look like the second post. In hand they appear to be MS60-64. I know it's not as nice but had to post the best one first.
