I ran across a $100 star note a few years ago which I traded to a fellow collector of interesting monies at work. I got my $100 back and a Barr dollar. Did I come out ahead or mess up? I can't find a site to get a value on the Barr.

If it is a normal Barr note then I see them selling for $2 all day and if its a Barr star note then $3 but if it has s interesting serial number then it could be more

What year was the $100 star note and what was the SN? Also what condition was it in? The $1 BARR note is over publicized as being rare and collectible,IMHO.

I can usually buy uncirculated (non-star) packs of 100 for around $250 - $350. They just aren't that special right now.

@nationals: That's wholesale prices, though. You'd have to really love them to buy 100 of them.

Sorry it took awhile to get back to this one. The serial number on the Barr dollar is J 36180445 C. def not uncerculated. It has a small notch out of the top.
