Got this one today, thought the strike was pretty nice. What would you grade this one? Coin is darker in hand.

Wow nice FE! Razor sharp detail. AU grade but not sure if there are any environment issues as the surface seems very dark. Any chance for some better photos?

@IndianGoldEagle Surfaces aren't really all that dark in hand. I'm not convinced it hasn't been recolored as it is not as chocolate in color as I'm used to. But I figured I'd throw it in an album and let it "age" for a few years.

I would say AU58, maybe a slider. Looks to have been cleaned.

Sure has great details but like you, I'm pretty sure it's been recolored.

Nice FE! But it does look recolored from the pics. Still very nice (IMHO)!

I so want one of these high grade 1857 FE's... someday.
The reverse is somewhat environmentally challenged so I think AU58
or low MS

Nice looking FE! I have to agree with AU58 and add that the reverse appears to be clashed. I really like that!

AU55, looks to be a very slight case of corrosion or pitting, aka environmental damage

Details appear to be around an AU-53/55. Something about the color doesn't seem quite right unless it is just the pictures.
