Another newp, Roman Provincial Egypt. I chose this one because of condition and the fact that some silvering was still visible. Any thoughts on this one, including what you think I should have paid? Billon tetradrachm, Milne 4265, SNG Cop 850, Geissen 3027, BMC Alexandria 2332, aVF, Alexandria mint, weight 10.317g, maximum diameter 21.6mm, die axis 0o, 269 - 270 A.D.; obverse AVT K KLAVāIOC CEB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right from behind; reverse eagle standing right, looking back, holding wreath in beak, L - B (year 2) across field

With the remaining silvering and the nice details, this makes it a great example of this type of coin.

Excellent example. If I were looking for one of these, I would pay $35 - $45.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm in this one at $38 so guess I didn't over pay. I expected to over pay on these first purchases.

You know these coins represent the thing I dislike most about coinage in general-debasement. Although I have found myself drawn to these awesome and difficult to photograph coins. You'd be surprised how many different civilizations and cultures minted "Billon Tetradrachms" Great pick up and a decent price, there are a few things better then a nice fat ancient coin...one of them being a nice fat ancient coin that you got for a very good price.
