Yah, the Syracuse coins seem to contain a whole lotta sea-animals: dolphins scallops octopus hippocamps (well, if they actually existed!!)

Yo I almost bought that coin! Nice find, the octopus was calling to me too. Great mind think alike. I did opt for the Bactrian coins instead.

Yall looking at the octopus, but the icing on this cake is the straight on archaic eye and the what I think is a Phoenician legend!

2500 year old coin ... *sweet* => it still amazes me that I am able to buy these ancient archaic coins at "reasonable" prices!! ... I'm like a fat, hungry, rich-kid in a candy store!!

Great coin. I was looking at a few of these earlier today in far worse shape. Not cheap by any means.

Well, I'm glad that you guys all decided to skip by this pound-puppy and buy different coins!! ... I decided that this lonely little coin needed a good home, so I adopted it ... Thanks for all of your coin compliments, gang ...
