I purchased a 1949-S Franklin this week. I don't have it in hand just yet, but one of the reasons I bought it was what appears to be a DDR. If you look at "E Pluribus Unum" there appears to be some serious doubling.

I don't have the cherrypicker's guide, but is there a standard variation of this type for the 49-s or am I just dreaming that I see something?

Also any chance this gets a FBL designation?

Thanks

Looks like a really nice coin for a 49-S but hard to tell from the photo if the bell lines are full. maybe when you get it you can post a better photo.

Judging by your photo's there appears to be Machine Doubling on the reverse in the word DOLLAR. I've had lots of these. Unless I'm mistaken, it's MD and not DDR.

There is only RPM-002 for 49S. No doubled dies listed, I agree with Machine Doubling.
Can't tell on FBL

Do you have a closeup of the mint mark, by chance?
