I've been collecting the 2012 ABT P, D, S business strike quarters and was wondering if anyone knows if the mintage numbers for the S-mint El Yunque, Chaco Culture, Acadia, Hawaii Volcanoes & Denali business strikes have been published. If so, can you direct me to them.
Thanks.

Preliminary figure was 1.4 million of each design, final figures should be released next month.

Buy the remaining 2012-S rolls from the Mint. They are a steal at $18.95 and probably will have some residual secondary value later, as most people are unaware of these NCLT coins. Will be tough to find in circulation except by chance.

Quote: Will be tough to find in circulation Understatement of the century. In many parts of the country, finding any ATB Quarter in circulation is tough, making it even more likely that circulating "S" Quarters will be pulled very quickly!

I would be very very surprised to fine a 2012-S ATB in circulation since they are available only from the mint at a premium and have such a low mintage-I think. Has anyone put their extras into circulation?

CaptainFwiffo put 30 of each design into circulation, HOLLYWOOD handed out some to trick-or-treaters, and I've spent five Hawaii-S Quarters myself. I received a 2012-D Grover Cleveland (first term) Pres. Dollar in change from a Denver Light Rail ticket dispenser, so never say never!

Since the mint released S-mint business strike non-proof quarters, I'm beginning to wonder if they will so the same for cents, nickels, dimes & half dollars too. It wouldn't surprise me if they did if the quarters are successful.
Good grief, how many quarters were available for 2012?
El Yunque Denver mint El Yunque Philadelphia mint El Yunque San Francisco mint business strike El Yunque San Francisco mint proof El Yunque San Francisco mint silver
Chaco Culture Denver mint Chaco Culture Philadelphia mint Chaco Culture San Francisco mint business strike Chaco Culture San Francisco mint proof Chaco Culture San Francisco mint silver
Acadia Denver mint Acadia Philadelphia mint Acadia San Francisco mint business strike Acadia San Francisco mint proof Acadia San Francisco mint silver
Hawaii Volcanoes Denver mint Hawaii Volcanoes Philadelphia mint Hawaii Volcanoes San Francisco mint business strike Hawaii Volcanoes San Francisco mint proof Hawaii Volcanoes San Francisco mint silver
Denali Denver mint Denali Philadelphia mint Denali San Francisco mint business strike Denali San Francisco mint proof Denali San Francisco mint silver
----25 quarters. Isn't that excessive?

I agree that it is excessive; however, I would like to get the 2012-S business strikes in a set from the mint to make them easier to get, but I don't think they have any available. It is that correct?

I haven't seen any mint sets of the S business strikes and haven't heard if they're available.

Since the El Yunque-S is now completely Sold Out, we can extrapolate a mintage from the sales. 10,008 100-coin bags = 1,000,800 coins 16,961 40-coin rolls = 678,440 coins
Total = 1,679,240 El Yunque-S circulation-finish Quarters.
All 100-coin "S" bags are now Sold Out. Chaco & Hawaii rolls should be nearing sell outs if the El Yunque roll figure is any indication.

Noobie here,
What is a "Business Strike" quarter? Also, did they make the "S" mint for the 2010 & 2011. I didn't see them listed anywhere.
Thanks.

I didn't see them listed anywhere. 2012 was the first year for the S mint which is why some (myself included) werent thrilled with the idea. The business strike is basically just a coin meant for circulation as opposed to using the better striking methods for collector versions
