Thank you, Lostwords for publishing.
Too bad, they spoiled an idea of the square coin, by starting to produce them with different themes. Why the Australian Seasons series wasn't enough? IMO, the "Famous Squares" looks like cheap paintings in the souvenir shop.
Liked the Baby-set idea and 2013 Year set. But the 2012 Proof was the best, with amazing selective gilded 50 cent.
Looking forward to buy the next "Season" coin in the February.

Well I love to take credit for publishing it but I got the link from another forum but figure I share it here as well. I do agree with your assessment about the square coin though. But I do like the idea of famouse square in square coin, only wish it looks better than that. Frankly, I didn't see anything that jump at me. I'll continue a few series to finish it (bird and map and Australian season). I have no iinterest in the new Mythical Creatures series although some has said it will be a hot series for the Europeans. I got burn with the three-headed dragon and I will not again touch something for "potential/hype" and not something I like.

Absolutely agree. Probably, my disappointment with squares was, because by "Famous squares" I understood - "world famous square coins" and expected to well done replicas (struck from Fine Silver) - like Kookaburra Penny. Still have appreciation to RAM and Perth Mint Proof silver coins (without paint) - time to time they produce really nice items.

The Opal series is nice as well. Too bad I am missing the first one and don't feel like buying it at current price. I've recently ventured into buying some bullion and it affecting my buying habbits (especially on those I am not sure about). LoL. I understand it is 2 different things (Numis and Bullion) but it does stop my temptation from buying coins for its potential of being a hot coin.

The Opal's are good, that's right. I think you should pay for the Koala and enjoy it! But I prefer the coin, where at least "main object" is shiny silver - exception made for Canadian Coloured Maple Leafs / Raindrops. So, back to Australian Opal - I will buy the "animals" (wombat, lizard, echidna...etc), but silver-made. They had "Discover Australia" series in 2012, but again - too many paint there, so I bought some coins from "Discover Australia 2009-2010". Bullions - those, that in my collection, I treat like a numismatic. Just trying not to overpay for them. Koalas - since they "just started" in 2007 - I decided to collect the series.

The 2013 holey dollar and dump is back in stock now at Perth Mint, in case anyone is interested. I know I am not. :)

The holey and dump looks too simplistic for my taste. I did buy the griffin though, sort of gambling people will like the series.
