Quote:
Nicopolis ad Istrum was a Roman and Early Byzantine town founded by Emperor Trajan around 101â€"106, at the junction of the Iatrus (Yantra) and the Rositsa rivers, in memory of his victory over the Dacians. Its ruins are located at the village of Nikyup, 20 km north of Veliko Tarnovo in northern Bulgaria. The town reached its floruit during the reigns of Trajan, Hadrian, the Antonines and the Severan dynasty.

Thanks A-Noob ... yah, I really like this coin ...

Ummm, it is from Ancient Resource ... they have sold me several coins, including:

Satyr carrying Nymph (incuse square)
Pan & Griffin
Athena & Hippocamp
Brahma Bull / Lion
Plautilla & Eagle on Globe
Khusro II & Cross/IB (Byzantine)

... they're certainly not my go-to guy, but they seem like a steady-enough bunch!!
