One LCS sells poured silver bars--no Engelhards or any names I recognized--for $2 over spot. They're mostly 25oz, with an occasional 10 oz.
What kind of deal is a $2 premium for poured bars--a great deal, pretty standard or maybe a bit on the stiff side?

$2 is what my LCS charges me or Engelhard / JM. $1 for Generic - it makes me wonder what your dealer would charge if they did carry some E/JM's. $2 is a so-so deal for poured bars that are generic in my humble opinion.

This guy charges $1.50 for all extruded bars (including J-M and Engelhard) and almost all generic rounds but $2 for poured bars and
Engelhard Prospector rounds. Premiums on coins (ASEs, CSMs, etc) are more and they vary by coin.

Say 32 per oz. is real solid esp in 10 oz. but also in 25 oz. bars....

I have a real weakness when it comes to old pours from 24 to 30 oz or so, esp 25.....

Just so happens there is a Nevada old pour 25.62 up on bay I was eyeing, however at last look it was over 850 headed toward 900 which is more then I want to spend on it....

My sound theory on 25 form trial and error, BETTER to stack for the future verses quick flip. Very hard to find at sound price of say 800 as you mentioned or 32 per oz., but even then you need to sell at at least 950 to make worth wild at all through bay, after fees etc....

So I always think long term bigger bars, smaller bars better quick flip potential....

Once you get up to 50 and 100 bars, the price per oz. drops big time. You can always find a solid rate on a 100 bar, why cause few have 3k to spend at drop of hat, and just like anything in this world, the more you buy the cheaper it is period....

And if you want 3200 for 100 bar and I offer 3k pp, good chance you move as how often does 3k sells come along and good chance you needed cash to be selling, or you think silvers better days are behind her....
