I too am new to roll hunting.. I received the Cherry Pickers Guide Vol #1. Highly recommended.
I am having fun with Penny's and really learning alot. I am trying not to jump around and sticking with one denomonation that interest me.

My favourite errors to look for in US pennies are the 1999 and 2000 wide "AM" in America. These errors are listed in "The Cherrypicker's Guide, 1st volume" and are very easy to identify. I recently found a 2000 1 cent with a Wide AM in Ms-62 condition valued at $25.
