I purchased this coin on an internet action as a 1859 DP9 #2. It was labeled with the wrong id it's not a #2 but I think it might be a #4 I don't own a 1859 #4 to compare with what are your thoughts on this coin is it a DP#4?

Papeldog DP9#4 is E26a on vickycents.com Take a look at E12 also. Are there any other markers of note?

The only Reverse marker that it has that I can see is the die crack @ 5 and the DP9 I can't see anything @7 or 12. I'm leaning toward the PC59-101 10+E12 with this obverse so that would make it the #4 DP9 would it not or would it be the E26a another one I'm looking for? I need both those coins the E26a and the E12 so making this ID is important to me as to catalogue it properly thanks for your reply.

If it is the 101, look for a Cud in the joint on the right side of the N in REGINA. Instead of coming to a fine V shape there will be some metal at the bottom of the V. All of my PC59-101s have it. The stem on leaf 9 looks like it could be a 101 also.

Ed, I don't have that type of N in Regina it looks normal, but its not a obverse 24 either it has no die cracks at the C in Canada or the G in Gratia.
