Have there been any 2012 error quarters found yet? I am asking because I think I found a DDO but don't know. Sorry I can't get any pics of it but if anyone is an expert on errors and is going to be at the FUN show then ill have them there. The owner of my coin shop found them in a roll and asked if I saw anything odd and I did but the other owner of the coin shop didn't he thought it is just damage. The owner gave them to me to bring to the fun show and see if they are a error. It looks like one is a DDO and something weird with the mint mark, the other looks like it has letters from UNITED stamped under the mint mark. Both are denali p quarters any help would be greatly appreciated.

Without pictures, it is impossible to say much more than CONECA has not listed any doubled die quarters since 2009 so none are known on the National Parks quarters. The lower mintages on these quarters also reduces the chance of any doubled dies being minted. I should also note that doubled dies are die varieties and not errors.

Stop by the CCF booth at FUN. I'll be there with some high-end imaging equipment, and we can talk about your coins with significant magnification and the ability to post them here straight from the show.

I could not find much other than an [eBayItem] 160934481315[/eBayItem] with die chips on the mintmark of a 2012-P Denali although minor chips do not qualify as a mint error. I also found an [eBayItem]261145476898[/eBayItem] that is a planchet that came from a roll of Denali quarters.

This is the best pic I could get of one of the quarters, I hope this pic helps a little. Both quarters have different variations.

Maybe some Machine Doubling on the coin
but not even an error.

I'm not up to date on die changes and varieties, upon checking this coin under 700% zoom, my first thought was die fatique, then I noticed a change in the designers initials from the 2006 State Quarter I compared it to.

Think I will wait for the variety experts to comment on this one.

Thanks for sharing

Ok so I had the coin checked out by Fred Weinberg and vermontisium and Susan and all of them said that it has some serious Machine Doubling and then vermontisium told me the name for the mint mark but I forget. And all of them find that the die chip on the back to be very cool which I have to agree. To me the die chip looks like a boulder on top of the mountain but ill let you guys decide.
