I bought this coin below and soaked it for a few weeks in distilled water. I bought some Verdi-care and did the towel spin thing with some on the towel (used a old t-shirt). I then read I can soak it and did so for a couple minutes each side inside a small container. Should I have soaked it longer or what do you suggest to improve it more?

If any of the verdigras is still one it Id give it another soak since it looks like it was eating through your coin. I may do another one just to be on the safe side

The corrosion was heavy, the surfaces are pitted. You can soak it for as long as 24 hours, that's the maximum I recommend, but I don't think you'll see much more progress. Just let it dry for about a week and then store it. The ReAcT2â„¢ will stop the corrosion where it is.

There was green verdigris, especially in that pit by the nose but I don't see it now. I don't think I will see much improvement by soaking it more either. Looks like the pits were due to the corrosion eating at the coin. Too bad it wasn't caught earlier, looks VF/XF to me.

Agreed, it is a shame.

I am going to move this to the Classic US forum for more to see these results of your IHC conservation attempt.

I decided to give it at least an hour soak to make sure the verdigris was taken care of. My first soak was only a couple minutes each side.
Here is the result:
