Okay, looking into these prefixes, I already had it listed yesterday. It's likely that the prefixes will not be: AN-DS (because DZ, has DiZzied us up) It could possibly be: DT-GY After a call to But I'm about to call the RBA & ask a couple of questions. NORMAL NOTES: Okay, firstly, for the 2012 notes the lady said, "yes a small amount of 2012 notes released into circulation" As for the TEST NOTES...She said "There are none to their knowledge & mentioned that the 2012 figures have not yet been released on the Banknote section of the RBA's website." She then went on to state the legitimacy of the note in which I told her that a friend had one, so I haven't yet seen it. She then stated that I can call back to discuss the security features of the note with her. RAH! It's doing my head in!

Enworb...so would definitely love to see a scan too!!
I can also say that the high serial number could be a giveaway in regards to test notes. But I'm still waiting to see on all fronts whether the $5, $10 &$50's of 2012 have 2nd print runs or not.

Hey Polynote, it's now 11 days since you last posted anything. I've noticed that you've visited the site several times (even today) since your last post on the 07/01 but nothing ..... We don't care if it was not correct, or it was all a mistake. It was found in a pub afterall and we all know what pub coins are like, so why not pub notes! Just write something so that the CCF members are not sitting there holding their breath or pointlessly looking through $10 polys for the lochness tenner!!

My opinion. Test note with changes to the polymer used. And I'll say it again, 2016 release for the new notes for the 50th anniversary of decimal currency. its only 3 years away...

Quote: My opinion. Test note with changes to the polymer used. Or they could be testing new security features which they are planning for the new notes. That would explain why it is all a bit "hush hush".

Mob of Roos, that's the worst part...the fact they might exist...we are still waiting to see the amazing $10 DZ12, the RBA won't admit to anything apart from the fact that they're running low on notes, hence the $5, $10 & $50's already being dropped & released into cicrulation in areas running low on notes. Craig; it will be interesting to see when they finally decide on the release date...it'll (hopefully) come more professionally & effeciently than the 1988 commemorative release, which saw one print run of 34 prefixes pulled. If that's the case, then it might be time to start holding our current polymers. It'll also be interesting to see the strategy they take regarding changeover considering there are 1.147 billion polymer notes circulating & over 5.313 billion polymer notes printed (*before the 2012 print).

All this speculation is based on the posting from one person who has yet to provide the evidence of the notes' existence other than the say so of a third party.
I'd be waiting.
