OK, something has me questioning some auctions as to who is actually bidding.

When I check out the current bids here is what I saw.

Current high bidder....$100
New bidder 1.............$110
New bidder 1.............$120
New bidder 2.............$125

New bidder 2 is now the highest bidder but why did New bidder 1 place two consecutive bids? When New bidder 2 didn't bid until a couple hours later?

Any help understanding this is appreciated.

I think it also registers as a bid if someone else bids but its not higher then the previous highest bidder

Maybe, Now one on my watchlist shows xx amount and 20 bids which is what it was a couple of hours ago. But now, when I go to my watchlist it still shows 20 bids and the same xx amount but when I highlight the listing it shows 21 bids but the same price. So did someone really bid less than the current high bid? Or did the current high bidder raise their max bid?

The current bid listed isn't necessarily the highest bid that the person has entered. If the high bid is 20 but their max is 30 and someone else bids 21 itll just go above that but not all the way to 30. Basically you can bid higher than is showing without becoming the new high bidder
