Hi, CB.. I can't tell from those pics if the coin is MS or not.(too dark)

AU-58 would be my guess.

Looks MS, but the color/lustre seems off somehow. Possibly the lighting.

Yeah, could just be the lighting.

I will take more pictures when the coin arrives.

Thanks for the opinions so far.

I think it is more likely AU 55 and it does look cleaned...Lots of spotty marks, and also a little verdigris.

But all that said it is still a nice looking coin

The colour is not right for a George V cent, which could be from over saturation of light in the photo to make the coin look red. I suspect it will be much darker in hand, the fields in front of the King are probably quite dark. The coin looks mint state, but the corrosion spot on the right reverse leaf and fingerprint on the bottom of the obverse would probably put this coin at MS-62RB.

I had a little fun with photography, on a similar coin in this thread: https://goccf.com/t/105585

This is closer to what a full red George V cent should look like, vibrant and orange:

The pictures of the obverse don't do the coin justice.

Here is a better representation of the actual colour of the coin. (Not the greatest quality picture, but it gets the job done)

Lots of rim dings, light fingerprint, and it does look like it had a light cleaning..

So, I'll stick to my original grade-AU-58
