Hello billfaith,
these are Deutsche Mark notes issued by the German Bundesbank (West Germany) between 1960 and 1980.
There are several types regarding the copyright on the back or the signatures. What you
can easily imagine is the fact that when the president of the Bundesbank resigned (or was
not reelected), a new series was issued (1960, 1970, 1977 and 1980). The banknotes were issued
in nominals of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 DM. Although there had been an newer series of
Bundesbank-notes before the Euro you can still convert every banknote issued in Western Germany since 1948. The exchange rate between DM and Euro is 1€ = 1,95583DM
