1880 Mexican 5 Centavo (mule reverse)

I am looking for info on this coin. NGC says only 12,000 minted. The reverse is from the 1 peso gold coin. I have the mule reverse. I need to get some pics up. Does anyone have some info on this coin? THANKS! PICS comong.

Did I get this wrong? I read another piece of info that the mule was the obverse. Can someone give me their opinion if this reverse matches the reverse of the 1 Peso gold coin?

Thanks guys.

Officially, by Mexican law, the obverse is the side that says Rebublica Mexicana (eagle side on this coin). A lot of people get this backwards and it is a point of confusion.

The eagle side (obverse) of this coin is that of the gold peso. This 5 c was minted in Alamos and is in pretty good shape. My guess is $100 value. I would be pleasantly surprised if anyone knew how many were minted.

I take that back. I pulled out a reference and Buttrey and Hubbard have the mintage at 12,289. Value might be closer to $200.
