Any recommendations on how this would grade out? Sorry for the less than optimal camera work. I'm still a newby here.

Can anyone suggest some ideas on how to take good coin photographs? I get way to much reflection from the flash and can't get the whole coin in focus at the same time. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Eklections

In general you don't want to use a flash. It just puts out too much light. Instead use a bright desk lamp or similar source (not a fluorescent light). Adjust lighting angles until you find a balance that illuminates the coin adequately without washing out the details.

As stated, your coin looks AU to Mint State. Can't tell if it has cleaning or other problems but if surfaces are original and there are as few marks as the images suggest it could be choice or better (MS-63). Try taking more photos and post them when you have a chance.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll try some better pictures with a desk lamp. This coin came out of an unopened book bank from 1941 based on the 3 uncirculated 1941 pennies and older coins that came out when I finally figured out how to get the coins out without a key. I think it was a gift for a child to introduce them to saving. They probably started the child out with the brand new 1941 half dollar in their bank. The child likely lost the key and forgot about it. I'll post up some better photos tomorrow.
