Pretty much exactly why I posted this. I wonder if that even went through the bidder's mind......

Wow... that's crazy! I clicked on the bidder list expecting to see 2 or 3 shill bidders but there were a bunch of bidders. Hmmm. Real or fake?

That is odd, I was surprised there were more bidders than expected. I can't see anyone who collects early dollars paying this price without being able to fully inspect the coin or have it graded. I think it was a shill transaction with the conman's extended family playing their parts in this sordid drama.

No one spent $100k. This no doubt went to one of a group of knowledgeable bidders who bid up fake coins so that new folks will not be fooled and buy them. They won't pay and will tell ebay about the fake.
Rest in Peace

I wonder if the seller could make change if I paid with one of my $1,000,000 bills?

28 bidders? I don't know much about old dollars except that so many are fakes. Add to that - the seller is in China and has 0 feedback.

Any experts on the forum who can determine if it's a fake or not?

Maybe the seller helped to make those $1,000,000 bills.
