I already own it but was wondering what everyone's thoughts were as far as grade. Love these old coins and this is the oldest I own...

Any thoughts on the coin itself?

Thanks in advance!

It appears original, just corroded with graffiti added. In my experience 1804 is the most affordable year in that series. I have the same year in my 7070 US Types album.

Why does the graffiti "H" on the reverse field look like it's raised, rather than incised?

Because it was likely cut with a knife, which displaces enough metal in the process that the resulting ridge is more prominent than the adjacent cut, especially in photographs.
