you've seen one, you've seen 'em all but here's another anyway...2 obverse shots for lighting purposes to try and show off the true nature of the coin which in my estimation is border Choice EF to AU50...i dunno...you decide and i'll live with the consensus...

I think this is better than you estimated. I'm calling the reverse an AU53 and the obverse has me confused generally an AU50 but the missing denticles have always been a problem for me to factor in when grading.

Overall my grade is I'd keep it !

That is one neat looking coin! What's going on with the obverse rim from 11:00 to 4:00? Is that a die crack? And double rim? It almost looks like it was broadstruck but I can't quite tell. If you decide to sell it, I'm buying. I think it looks EF-45 only because I am saying there is wear on the knee and breast. Without seeing the coin in person it's kind of hard to say for sure.

thanks for all of the kind props fellas!

No, I do not believe the reverse to have any kind of PMD or hits, that effect on the device is simply lighting

Chester, I took a look at both Breen and Fortin reference material and it seems to be a common trait in this dime to have the effect of a double rim on both the obverse and reverse so it does not appear to be special...

I am however stuck at the variety, I think it is an F-115 but the reverse does not marry as there is no die crack where it should be so I don't know...I need to attribute it or I'll go nuts at this point...off to Fortin with the pics

I NEVER debate condition issues, I simply live with what is there but that having been said, I do not believe any wear to exist to on the obverse relief...

if I decide to sell, I'll let you know!
