Once you've acquired the skillset, your next "best image" becomes your next coin.

Yes, the color is spot-on, even understated.

These are my favourite pictures I have ever taken.

These were taken with my iPhone 4S. I stacked up a couple small boxes, put the phone on top, turned on the lamp, and took the pictures. Considering the very basic set-up, I think the pictures are pretty good.

This is my favorite to date, and I believe it's the best shot I took last week. (I've only had my set-up for about that long)

That is glorious. The framing and composition exceed mere presentation of detail and offer the image as equal parts identification and art. You're not going to be extremely good at this, CaptainF, you are extremely good at this.

Edit: Oh, yeah, this is a picture thread. Another FUN coin, one which you'll be seeing in its' own thread soon:

Post-Your-Best-Pic-Taken-So-Far...

For the record, my FUN images came from a T2i and quite possibly the finest, sharpest example of a Canon 100mm Macro I've ever used, and this one makes five separate examples. I used Jansjos and crude diffusion, and made no attempt to block the overhead lighting, if that gives you any idea just how good this example is.

I'm hoping Just Carl will reply to this,
Did steel cents look like the coin in rmpsrpms' shots when they first came out?

PS -- If I had to pick one (and only one) picture that is probably my favorite ever, it would be this one.
