What would you grade it overall? I should read up on grading Buffalo nickels. I did have a little trouble understanding grading the front but the back is easier with the horn. This coin was marked when I received it G on the front but someone wrote XF on the back. What would you give it?

Looks to me to be somewhere in between.

Hard to tell from the picture, but I'd call it VF-30

When I first picked it up I thought it was a G since it was marked that but than saw the back was marked XF and the buffalo had it's horns.

I see VF-20 obverse, VF-30 reverse, with an average of VF-25 overall.

I am going to have to remark this two by two, I thought it was better than G with the full horns.

I think it is a soft strike on the obverse. It's at least a VF. I would need to see it in hand to make a better determination.
