Having already acquired the first, obviously I didn't plan to buy the second, but there it was. The seller advertised it as a Proof, I (over)paid for it as a Proof, and it is blindingly Prooflike. The fields are mirrored to match any DMPL Morgan. The camera was unkind to the obverse; the fields are of such reflectivity as to overwhelm the scratches.
Are there die markers or anything which I might use to determine if this is truly a Proof, or just a very early strike from the die? Are there business-strike Florins of this reflectivity?
