At first I thought this might be hammered money with the hole obscuring the date, upon closer examination there does not appear to be a date nor a monarch...which leads me to believe it is a Church Token... Catholic due to icon on side of a cross on circular design (catholic predominate religion in region),
French origin Fleur de Lis and Crown pattern.

Has any member encountered such a article? Or maybe you are more familiar with reading Gothic Letters and can read this disc?

Thin (hammered) brass about 25.5 mm, jpegs attached.

The lower picture is fairly typical of the Nuremburg jetons particularly of the Krauwinkel family.

It's a reckoning counter or jetton, probably in brass.
