well I made my first vcoins purchase, had a good experience. I had 23 bucks in my paypal account so I decided to treat myself to a coin (I'm tecnically on the wagon) as long as I didn't go beyond the 23 bucks including shipping. here's what I picked up for 21.50 shipped... seleucid demetrios sotor i horse head left elphant head right 162-150bc I've been itching to get a seleukid "bottle cap", I liked the "halloween" patina also (black and orangish). got this from david conners, I got great service...hit my mailbox in 2 days. Great Coin! [note to self: Next buy is another Carthaginian along with a Seleukid "Bottle Cap"] I also just bought my first coins on Vcoins (my three new coins) from Gitbud & Naumann... Also had 2 day shipping, and saying that it went through Canada Post, and came from Germany, that is insane! They also included an Auction Catalog for free with my purchase.

I like this coin. This guy is an interesting ruler, whos tetradrachms are really nice, with a real tough guy persona. I really like the elephant, every ancient coin collector should have an elephant of some sort. Great coin, something I would love to have in my Seleucid collection.

I also made my first Vcoins purchase (3 coins) in the last few days, co-incidence! Until recently I considered it an expensive place to shop compared to ebay but was surprised by what I found in the last few weeks. Not sure if the prices on ebay are rising or the ones on Vcoins are falling but they were certainly comparable (if not a little better) for the first time I can remember. Maybe I just got lucky. If it was in your Paypal then it certainly cant be considered falling off the wagon chrsmat71, that reminds me, think I'll check my balance

The Elam Tet was purchased from Vcoins and the Ardashir Tet was also- and from the same seller. He gave me a deal having spent for the Ardashir knocked 25 pounds off this piece. I have noticed ancient coins are going up in cost across the board. I really think the hobby is gaining steam with the swift reliability of online shopping and paypal.

Nice coin--I've been wanting to get a Seleucid "bottle cap" type--keep waiting for a better one! I've also had good luck with Vcoins, but never two day shipping from Europe--that's fast!

Nice pick up. When I not on this site, I'm hanging out scanning VCoins. It's an addiction now.
