It can be terribly difficult to interpret copper from images, but my impression is that the coin has been recolored in the past.

Colr looks ok. Impossible for me to grade from the blurry pic. Take it out of the 2x2, photo both sides.

Sounds too cheap, there must be something you can not see in the photos. Ask seller for better photos of both sides of the coin.

Again, better photos needed. If I had to guess, these are probably EF details with environmental damage. Only decide photos will tell for sure.

Based on the pics, I would say it definitely looks to be cleaned and is retoning.

well I showed pictures to someone who is a long time collector in the full scale and 2 seconds later he bought the 1838 one and said it looks very good so, I went ahead and bought the 1828 one for 30 and hope I didn't make a terrible mistake but he would have bought it... *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason.
