01/14 83 BC Marc Antony is born. Marcus Antonius (popularly known as Marc Antony) was born on 14 January, 83 B.C., in Rome. His mother was Julius Caesar's cousin, and Marc Antony became his right-hand man. After Julius Caesar's assassination, he became an active part of the Second Triumvirate. He married Cleopatra VII of Egypt, and committed suicide with her on 30 B.C., after being defeated by Octavian, his former ally.

01/17 38 BC Octavian marries 19 year-old Livia Drusilla, the former wife of Tiberius Claudius Nero. Livia Drusilla was Octavian's third wife, but she was the most influential one. Thanks to her, Octavian was given the honorary title "Augustus". When they got married, Livia Drusilla was pregnant with Tiberius Claudius Nero's child. Octavian forced him to divorce her, but his marriage was not just a political move, both of them wanted it to happen.

01/18 350 AD Magnentius initiates his rebellion at a birthday party held at Augustodunum. He had conspired to start it with Marcellinus, whose son was celebrating his birthday on that day, with all the aristocracy of Gaul in attendance. Knowing that Constans was hunting, he appeared at the party dressed on purple, and was received by Marcellinus as Emperor. Augustodunum was soon under the control of the conspirators, and Gaul and Britain later declared their support to Magnentius.
