Hi all, a friend is offering to sell me a 1918 Illinois Half dollar. It's about VF- XF. I can't get pics at the moment, but what would be ballpark values for this date & grade?

Photos are needed for me to offer an informed opinion.

This is not a difficult coin to find in the grade range you suggested.

Assuming honest surfaces ... you should find ebay examples is the $80 - $120 range.

no more than $100, $75 would be a good deal for you

It's unusual to find one with so much wear. You might be better off trying to purchase an uncirculated example for not much more money.

With the circulated and low ball sets there might actually be more demand for the circulated ones than for the low MS ones that can be easily found
