After buying many AE LRB's , I bought this, since I had previously bought the plain, unsilvered, versions of it.

Emperor: Constantine I
Augustus of the west, 29th October 312 - 19th September 324 A D
Coin: AE Follis, silvered.

Obverse: CONSTAN-TINVS AVG, helmeted and curassed bust facing to the left.
Reverse: VIRTVS EXERCIT, Two bound captives, seated to either side of a Vexillum with VOT XX on the banner.
S - F across the fields.

Weight: 2.80 grams
Diametre: 19.5 x 19.1.2 mm
Die axis: 180 degrees

Mintmark: ●TS●Gamma● (Thessalonica), struck in 320 A D
Reference: RIC VII Thessalonica 75

Very nice coin. I've seen a few of those around without the silver wash. I've been planning to get one later on sometime.

Nice pick up!

Silvering looks funny... I guess I've seen too many of this design without the wash... so It looks funny in Silver!

Very Interesting that it is silver... because of the above reasons!

Most of these coins I see are without the silvering, this is a very nice example with the silvering.
