Anyone see a slab like this before?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-ONE-CE...em4ac0610f15

I had to look twice, thinking ICCS

Hard to find info on it too, but did find this site:

just another basement slab. A "grading service" created by someone from their home

The problem is the conflict of interest in some dealer SELLING their own slabs while implying an impartial grading, not where the "service" is accomplished.

I don't think we want to discourage legitimate competitors in the TPG arena by disparaging the concept of it starting as a home business.

I've seen this homegrown soft slab several times in the past year on E-bay. Personally for Canadian coins, I recommend buying under the I.C.C.S./C.C.C.S. banners.

There is also another one from the west coast area..Mot sure of the moniker but it is very close to ICCS in name and the soft slabs are near identicle ..Only the name is different

Personally, I don't like these ICCS 'knock-off' companies. They have very similar wording and colouring of their product which I take as highly misleading.

At least Louis at CCCS when he started his company, coloured the flips blue, thereby distinguishing them from ICCS's.
