... and I finally picked up a "Funnyback" 1928-A U.S. $1 Silver Cert., Blue Seal. Seller calls it Gem UNC, but I'm not so sure.

Nice looking bunch of notes! Very pretty indeed. I have always liked the "funny back". They stuck out like sore thumbs when they were still circulating mainly because of the deep color of the reverse. Mike

Very nice notes. The funnyback $1s were replaced back in the day because people didn't like the design. I personally prefer the "funnyback" design over the one they replaced it with. The 28 $5 is sweet, and getting tough to find in Unc. ~Jim

Very nice notes, AuldFartte. My first silver certiciate was a funny back, so I have a soft spot in my heart for them.
