I have several rolls of uncirculated 2009 Lincoln cents. What is the best way to store these to prevent black spots?
Thank you.

Depends how long you wish to keep them sealed! Best way if your not going to open them for a long time is use food grade vacuum sealer. Then put that in a food-grade zip-lock baggie. Second way is two zip-lock bags one inside the other. a small container of desiccant along with them would be very helpful. Third way is purchase from a coin dealer a box to hold rolls which contains corrosion resistant materials in the box itself. A package of desiccant (drying agent) should always be around.

Just my opinions. Hopefully you will get a few more.

Aren't the black spots carbon? Is there anything that can be done to prevent them?

Thanks so much. Wish they were still made from copper so one would not have to store so carefully.
