I just picked these up at auction and although they weren't cheap I took a chance. The picture is not good as they are not in hand yet. Some keen eyed members might know one or two of these.....any info appreciated. Will post better pic when they arrive. Thanks, marbury

Bottom coin appears to be a clipped groat (or halfgroat?); CIVI TAS LON DON, with Lombardic N's. Some of the outer legend remains. The long cross penny (or halfpenny?) above it reads CIVI TAS CAN TOR, for the Canterbury mint. The bright one, with the voided long cross, seems to give NIC OLE as the moneyer, which makes it likely Henry III, though I can't make out the mint.

Thanks very much for the info Philadelphian.....I guess it depends what the portraits look like but I am hoping I didn't make an error paying £90 for the group.

1st coin Edward III Groat London.....so S1616

2nd coin is a penny of Henry III, minted by Nicole on Lvnd - London mint.....can't identify Spink no.

Told last two are Edward I pennies.(Canterbury)...but one below looks to have annulet below bust...that might make it S1384.
