Confederate Notes

There are a few books on Confederate paper notes. It depends on the whether the notes are Confederate Government notes or Confederate State issued notes. "Confederate States Paper Money " by G. Cuhaj has listings for both types and is a good general reference for both. If you have State notes, "A Guide Book of Southern States Currency" by H. Shull is very detailed and has specific references to varieties and locations of series numbers on those notes. Some state series letters are all over the place by both placement and type of lettering so there can be a lot of varieties of those notes.
