Here is my other ANACS-graded Half Cent, preparing to be cracked and submitted to NGC for inclusion in my registry set.

What do you think ANACS graded it, back in the day of the small white holder with barcode label?

I will say the color is a bit warmer in person, and there is soft luster. (I'm still getting the hang of my camera and lighting.)

Answer to follow later....

Straight from my gut - I've no expertise with strike qualities or even series-specific grading - I'm calling it AU53.

Older ANACS label? I can't see any wear on it so I guess MS-62 or AU-58 if there is some wear that I can't see in the pics provided.

I think I am seeing signs of a weak strike so I will say...AU58...hmm...yes I will stick with that.

I think it's an AU-55 myself and ANACS (old holder grade) might have said EF45?

Well, everyone agreed it's an AU, with grades about evenly distributed among AU50, AU53, and AU55.

This coin is much prettier in hand than in my photos, with a very smooth, lustrous Kraft caramel brown color. It does, as TJsCoins notes, have a weak strike - note the mushy letters in LIBERTY. There is very little real wear apparent.

It will be interesting to see if NGC marks down for the strike. I'll post results when I get them.

In the meantime, TJsCoins was spot-on. The old ANACS graders gave it:
