Is the cause of this Jefferson's appearance a weak strike or something else? A number of the letters are missing or faint.

I don't know though someone will come along and let you know.
In my creative mind I see an image of a buffalo on the right of the coin. Pretty cool.

Here are some hopefully better pics...the macro on my camera isn't good enough to focus well on one part of the coin. Not really sure I see the buffalo though :). Eitherway:

This coin is a die fill error. Grease gets clogged up in the dies and blocks out some of the design.

A very nice example, but fairly common.

I, too, see a bison in profile, facing to the right (away from Jefferson)immediately above the date and Tom's shoulder and to his right. You can see the front 3/4+ of the animal, but not its tail or back leg.

Could just be an artifact of the lighting. I don't know this series well...or much about die clashes. Could a die clash give that much of an image?

Couldn't be a die clash of a Buffalo, that would be 2005.

cool, so it is an authentic error coin. Haha... I don't really find many since I don't have a loupe or anything to look for double dies and stuff. I can kinda see the bison..I'm pretty sure its just an artifact of the lighting/coincidence. Kinda cool though, hehe.

oh yes, you found a true mint error coin, very cool indeed. Keep it up.

The Best source is new rolls from the bank at FACE value. No cost to you except time.

I see the bison in the first image. Pretty neat. I, too, wonder if it's the lighting.

Errorcoins--indeed. that's where I picked up this specimen...in a freshly minted roll of 2006 Ps. Of course, its already 2007 but I guess the banks in this area are kinda slow...
