I was sorting my common silver dollars and thought this was a 24-P originally...probably due to the toning and my aging eyesight.

What Grade would you give it? There is some remnants of luster under the toning which is a light golden color.Hard for me to capture.

@ upstate,I purchased a small lot of coins and they were stored in a metal box with other Peace and Morgans and some smaller silver coins.

I think that is why there is darker toning through the middle where a coin perhaps was overlapping the 21 Peace dollar.

I dare not to attempt removing it.

Edit, added.

there were a lot of Canadian 5 cent and 10 cent coins and even an 1871 Quarter. I will post that soon in the other section of Canadian coins since I am not up to date on those. But its not the type 1. Most of the coins were dark but original.

You are wise to not attempt removal of dark toning/color. Looks AU53 to me.
