I don't think it is though because if it were then there would be less of the rim because of the size difference between the dime and cent. And try to see if it will stick to a magnet. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 01/24/2013 3:57 pm It is not struck on a dime planchet, you would see obvious weakness from being struck on a planchet that is smaller than a cent. It is encased in an old broken bezel so unless you remove it, any weight measurement will be inaccurate. I would concur with it being plated post-mint. Report this Post to the Staff
